About the Project

Wheels of Change aims to address current mobility related concerns through a multifaceted approach. As a first step, the project aims to conduct an informative survey that gathers primary and present-day data with regards to the daily experiences and specific needs of disabled individuals from underserved communities. 

Survey results will then be used to direct fundraising efforts that raise money for the purchase and distribution of wheelchairs to individuals that are unable to access the same due to financial constraints. 

In addition to this, the initiative also looks forward to expanding its impact via the creation of an original children’s storybook series featuring protagonists with hearing, mobility, and visual impairments overcoming key challenges, with the aim of encouraging themes of inclusivity and empowerment amongst young readers. Wheels of Change also aims to direct timely efforts towards the development of new-age assistive products that can better mobility and thereby offer a holistic range of solutions and support for the underserved disabled community.
